Newbery Metals take delivery of another new Lefort shear, this time a 700T Konkeror for the Exeter yard. Replacing a long serving Medium 850T, the new Lefort Konkeror 700 is a more efficient version of the older machine, with a 400 HP Scania diesel engine and upgraded Rexroth pump. The 700T was soon installed and out performing its predecessor in the Newbery Metals flagship yard on the Marsh Barton
estate.
Newbery’s have run Lefort machines for many years, with 6 different locations, their need for efficient processing at each site to reduce transport costs has been satisfied with a Lefort machine. They were so pleased with this one, and how efficiently it was installed, that they ordered another for the Newton Abbott
yard.
